Rear Audio Source Module (RASM)

The RASM is located at the front of the rear floor console, below the two rear air vents. The RASM is secured to the rear floor console structure with two bolts

The RASM is a relay module which is controlled by the RECM. The RASM reacts to requests from the RECM to output the audio from the left or right iPad™ or from an external source via the AVIO panel.

Power is supplied to the RASM from the rear floor console junction box relay. Audio outputs from both iPads™ are connected to the RASM.

The RASM is connected to the RECM via two connections which carry the audio output information from the RECM.

Audio output from the RASM is passed to the Ground Loop Isolator (GLI), which filters the audio output before it is passed to the RSE control module auxiliary input for output on the vehicle speakers or headphone system.
