Possible Causes

Monitor description
. The powertrain control module monitors the messages received from the anti-lock brake system control module. If the messages are not updated periodically or correctly formatted, a DTC is set. The monitor is operational when the ignition is on.
- Anti-lock brake system control module power or ground circuit open circuit, high resistance
- High speed CAN bus (powertrain) circuit short circuit to ground, short circuit to power, open circuit, high resistance
- Anti-lock brake system fault
