DTC P0070-84: Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit, A - Signal below allowable range: Action
- Vehicle Conditions to enable DTC Logging Strategy
- Start engine and drive vehicle at steady state condition for 20 minutes
- Inspect connectors for signs of water ingress, and pins for damage and/or corrosion
- Refer to the appropriate system wiring diagrams and check the ambient air temperature sensor circuit for
- Short circuit to ground
- Short circuit to power
- Open circuit
- High resistance (greater than 20 ohms)
- Check and install a new ambient air temperature sensor, only when diagnosed as failed
- Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, clear all stored DTCs and retest
