Possible Causes
- The powertrain control module has determined failures where some circuit quantity, reported via serial data, is below a specified range
- Mass air flow sensor circuit short circuit to ground, short circuit to power, open circuit, high resistance
- Exhaust gas recirculation valve - High pressure circuit short circuit to ground, short circuit to power, open circuit, high resistance
- Connector is disconnected, connector pin is backed out, connector pin corrosion Inspect connectors for signs of water ingress, and pins for damage and/or corrosion
- Mass air flow sensor failure
- Contamination
- Obstruction
- Exhaust gas recirculation valve - High pressure failure
