- After greater than 8hr engine off time, all temperature sensor reading are averaged at start except the outlier, each temperature sensor is compared to the average, and if there is a large difference a DTC is set after the engine has started
- Battery disconnection resulting in errors in engine off time (short soaks may look like long soaks)
- Electric block heater applied and not detected
- Connector is disconnected, connector pin is backed out, connector pin corrosion
- Manifold absolute pressure and temperature sensor - Wiring integrity
- Short circuit to ground
- Short circuit to power
- Open circuit
- High resistance
- Manifold absolute pressure and temperature sensor failure
