- Mechanical Cause
- Control module cavity
- Monitor Description
- Requested torque is always derived from the minimum of the control system request and the corresponding calculation performed within the level 1 monitoring system. Ordinarily under positive torque requests from the driver the monitoring system should always lie above the control system request and hence not perform any limitation. If a software error occurs within the control system the monitoring system shall limit requested torque, if this limitation is active for a significant period of time (that can only be derived from a software error) a fault is judged
- Powertrain control module failure
