DTC P0116-84: Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor 1 Circuit Range/Performance - Signal below allowable range: Action
- Check the cooling system for leaks. Rectify as necessary
- Refer to the appropriate System Wiring Diagram(s) and check the engine coolant temperature sensor signal circuit for short circuit to ground, short circuit to power, open circuit, high resistance. Repair the wiring harness or install a new engine coolant temperature sensor as necessary
- Check the operation of the thermostat. Rectify as necessary
- Check the operation of the cooling fan. Rectify as necessary
