Possible Causes
- The powertrain control module has detected that the component is operating in a way or at a time that it has not been commanded to operate
- Other fuel injector related DTCs
- Oil ingress into the air induction system
- Powertrain control module power and ground circuits open circuit, high resistance
- Corrupt powertrain control module software
