DTC U049D-86: Invalid Data Received from Glow Plug Control Module 2 - Signal invalid: Action
- Vehicle Conditions to enable DTC Logging Strategy
- Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, complete "Enable/disable glow plugs" routine (0x4091)
- Prioritised checks to perform
- Refer to electrical circuit diagrams and check the power supply and ground connections to the glow plug control module. Check the diagnostic circuit between the engine control module and the glow plug control module for short circuit to power, short circuit to ground, open circuits. Clear the DTC and retest
- Inspect connectors for signs of water ingress and pins for damage and/or corrosion
- Install new glow plug control module, only when diagnosed as failed
