DTC P0600-04: Serial Communication Link - System internal failures: Action
- Prioritized steps to perform:
- Check battery charge and condition. Record values
- Read all Diagnostic Trouble Code(s) and investigate any Diagnostic Trouble Code(s) relating to battery voltage supply
- Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, reconfigure the transmission control module with the latest level software
- Inspect wiring harness for any damage and rectify as required
- Inspect the transmission control module connector and transmission connector for signs of water ingress, pin damage and/or corrosion. Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams, check the transmission control module VBATT, GND and IGN circuits for open circuit, high resistance and record the values. Repair the wiring harness as necessary
- Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, clear DTC and retest
- Check the transmission fluid level using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment to run the 9HP Automatic Transmission Fluid Level Check Application. Refer to the relevant article of the workshop service information and check the automatic transmission fluid quality For additional information, refer to: TRANSMISSION OIL COLOR CHART . If the fluid condition is unsatisfactory, raise a Technical Assist (TA) for further support
