DTC P0111-23: Intake Air Temperature Sensor 1 Circuit Range/Performance Bank 1 - Signal stuck low: Action
- Vehicle Conditions to Enable DTC Setting Strategy
- Test the vehicle over 3 drive cycles (engine on/off) across varied driving conditions to confirm the repair
- Prioritized Checks to Perform
- Allow the vehicle to cool for greater than 8 hours. Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, run application - ECU Diagnostics/Powertrain Control Module (PCM)/Live Data - and select parameters - Intake Air Temperature (0xF40F), Intercooler Outlet Air Temperature (0x0520), Ambient Air Temperature (0xF446), Boost Air Temperature Raw Physical Value (0x0341). All values should be within 20°C of each other
- Check the intake air temperature sensor for contamination. Rectify as necessary
- Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and check the intake air temperature sensor circuit for short circuit to ground, short circuit to power, open circuit, high resistance. Check the electrical connectors for evidence of water ingress. Check the terminals for damage and corrosion. Repair the wiring harness as necessary
- Install a new mass air flow and temperature sensor
- Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, run application - ECU Diagnostics/Powertrain Control Module (PCM)/Clear Diagnostic Trouble Code(s). Retest
