- Prioritized Checks to Perform
- Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and check the flex fuel sensor power and ground circuits for open circuit, high resistance. Check the electrical connectors for evidence of water ingress. Check the terminals for damage and corrosion. Repair the wiring harness as necessary
- Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and check the flex fuel sensor signal circuit for short circuit to ground, short circuit to power, open circuit, high resistance. Check the electrical connectors for evidence of water ingress. Check the terminals for damage and corrosion. Repair the wiring harness as necessary
- Check the fuel for contamination. Check the fuel tank for water ingress. Rectify as necessary
- Install a new flex fuel sensor
