Electrical Circuits

  1. Ensure battery is fully charged and all electrical connections are clean and tight. Turn dome light on and operate seat switch. If dome light dims, seat may be jamming or binding. If dome light does not dim, go to next step.
  2. Disconnect wiring harness at connector under seat. Connect 12-volt test light between Red and Black (ground) wire in female connector. If light lights, harness to seat is good. If light does not light, check for blown circuit breaker, continuity in Red and Black (ground) wires at connector, or ground.
  3. Reconnect harness under seat. Remove switch from seat harness. To check front up/down motor, connect a covered jumper wire between Red terminal in center motor and Yellow connection in front section of switch connector.
  4. Connect a second jumper wire between Black (ground) terminal in center motor and Green terminal in front section of switch connector. Seat should move up.
  5. If motor does not operate, reverse jumpers in front motor. If motor still does not operate, the harness or complete 3-motor assembly is defective. To check rear motor, connect a covered jumper wire between Red terminal of center motor and Light Blue terminal in rear section of switch connector.
  6. Connect a second jumper wire between Black (ground) terminal of center motor and Orange terminal in rear section of switch connector. If motor does not operate, reverse jumper wires. If motor still does not operate, harness or 3-motor assembly is defective.
