Fuel Pressure
- Remove cap from pressure test port on fuel rail and connect Fuel Pressure Gauge (J-34730-1
). See Figure
. Start engine and observe fuel pressure. With vacuum hose connected to pressure regulator, pressure should be about 31 psi (2.2 kg/cm2
), and about 39 psi (2.7 kg/cm2
) with vacuum hose disconnected.
- If pressure is not as specified, inspect fuel supply and return lines for kinks and obstructions. If fuel lines are okay, replace pressure regulator. Remove gauge and install cap on test port.
