Battery Specifications
CAUTION:
When battery is disconnected, vehicles equipped with computers may lose memory data. When battery power is restored, driveability problems may exist on some vehicles. These vehicles may require a relearn procedure. See COMPUTER RELEARN PROCEDURES article in the GENERAL INFORMATION section.
Grand Wagoneer and J10/J20 Truck model batteries require inspection of the electrolyte level only at the beginning of each winter season and every 15,000 miles. In addition to the standard equipment 421 cold crank amps battery, a 452 cold crank amps battery is optionally available for vehicles equipped with heavy-duty equipment.
NOTE:
A battery with a rating of 440 cold crank amps with 135-minute reserve capacity is optionally available for fleet vehicles.
