Fuel Injector Rail (4.0L) R & I: Installation

  1. Position tips of injectors into corresponding injector bore in intake manifold. Seat injectors into manifold. Install and tighten fuel rail retaining bolts to 20 ft. lbs. (27 N.m). Connect injector harness connectors to appropriate injectors.
  2. Connect fuel return tube to fuel pressure regulator and fuel supply hose to fuel rail using a new "O" ring, spacer and retainer repair kit. Connect vacuum supply tube to fuel pressure regulator. Install cap over pressure test port fitting. Install fuel filler cap. Connect negative battery cable.
