Test 19E - Diagnosing Door Lock Circuit

NOTE: For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  . For wiring diagram, see WIRING DIAGRAMS article in this section.
CAUTION: Always turn ignition off prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
  1. Turn ignition off. Gain access to inoperative door lock switch. Disconnect Blue Body Control Module (BCM) connector. BCM is located behind center console. Go to next step.
  2. Using an external ohmmeter, check resistance of door lock switch output lock circuit (Orange/Violet wire) between Blue BCM connector terminal No. 8 (Orange/Violet wire) and power lock switch. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair open Orange/Violet wire. Perform TEST VER-1B  . If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace open door lock switch. Perform TEST VER-1B  .
