Test 103F - Grounded Oil Pressure Sending Unit (On Base Mic)

NOTE: For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  in this article. For appropriate wiring diagram, see WIRING DIAGRAMS  section at the end of this article. Perform TEST VER-1B  after each repair.
CAUTION: Always turn ignition off prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
  1. Disconnect MIC connector. Using scan tool in ohmmeter mode, check resistance of MIC connector terminal No. 8 (Gray wire). If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair open Gray wire to splice. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to next step.
  2. Remove and inspect oil lamp bulb. Replace bulb if necessary. If bulb is okay, replace MIC printed circuit board.
