Test NS-SEL - No Start Selection Menu

  1. Attempt to crank engine. If engine will not crank, perform TEST NS-9A . If engine cranks, but does not start and scan tool displays NO RESPONSE, perform TEST NS-6A . If engine starts and scan tool displays NO RESPONSE, perform TEST NS-6B . If engine starts and scan tool does not display NO RESPONSE, go to next step.
  2. Turn ignition off. Turn ignition on, but do not crank engine. Using scan tool, read DTCs. If any DTCs are displayed, go to DTC TEST and perform appropriate test(s). If no DTCs are displayed, refer to TEST NS-1A .
