Test NTC-10B - Checking Park/Neutral Position Switch

NOTE: Perform TEST NTC-10A  before proceeding.
NOTE: For connector terminal identification, refer to CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION . For wiring diagram, see WIRING DIAGRAMS article in this section.
  1. Disconnect P/N position switch connector. Inspect connector and terminals for damage. Repair connector and terminals as necessary and perform TEST VER-2A. If connector and terminals are okay, go to next step.
  2. Using an external ohmmeter, check resistance of P/N position switch connector, P/N position switch sense circuit (Brown/Yellow wire) between P/N position switch connector and PCM Black connector. If resistance is less than 10 ohms, replace P/N position switch and perform TEST VER-2A. If resistance is 10 ohms or more, repair open P/N position switch sense circuit and perform TEST VER-2A .
