Test NTC-15A - Checking Intake Air Temperature Sensor

NOTE: Ensure engine is off and ignition is on. Perform following steps within 5 minutes of each other.

Using scan tool, read and record Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor reading. Turn ignition off. Remove MAP sensor. Go to next step.
Using temperature probe, measure temperature inside MAP sensor opening. If temperature probe reading is not within 10°F of scan tool reading, replace IAT sensor and perform TEST VER-2A . If temperature probe reading is within 10°F of scan tool reading, reinstall MAP sensor. IAT system is operating properly. Test passed.
