Test TC-50D - Trans 3-4 Solenoid/Trans Relay CKTS

NOTE: Perform TEST TC-50A before proceeding. For connector terminal ID, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION DIRECTORY. For component location see wiring diagram in the WIRING DIAGRAMS article.
  1. Repair 3-4 solenoid control circuit for short to voltage. Perform TEST VER-2A. Connect all disconnected connectors and go to next step.
  2. Road test vehicle and reach a speed of 50 MPH. Depress Overdrive (OD) switch 4 times so that vehicle attempts to shift from fourth gear to third gear and back. If vehicle does not shift between third and fourth gear, replace PCM and perform TEST VER-2A. If vehicle shifts between third and fourth gear, test is complete.
NOTE: A break in test sequence occurs at this point. Sequence skips from TEST TC-50D to TEST TC-55A. No tests have been omitted.
