Information Center Test 5F - Service 4WD Switch Message

NOTE: Perform INFORMATION CENTER TEST 5A  before proceeding. For connector terminal ID, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  and WIRING DIAGRAM and DOOR LOCKS - POWER & KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEM article. Perform TEST VER-1A  after each repair.
CAUTION: Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting any module connector. Ensure all connectors are clean and tight.

Disconnect transfer case switch. Switch is located on top left side of transfer case. Connect jumper wire between ground and terminal No. 3 on transfer case switch connector. Using external ohmmeter, measure resistance between ground and terminal No. 19 (Light Green/Orange wire) on information center connector. If resistance is less than 200 ohms, replace transfer case switch. If resistance is 200 ohms or greater, repair Light Green/Orange wire circuit for short.
