Door Ajar Test 9B - Liftgate Ajar Open Circuit
NOTE:
Perform DOOR AJAR TEST 9A
before proceeding with this test. For connector terminal identification, refer to CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION
. For wiring diagrams, refer to WIRING DIAGRAMS
. After each repair, perform TEST VER-1A
.
CAUTION:
Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting any module connector. Ensure all connectors are clean and tight.
- If problem is not with liftgate glass ajar switch circuit (if equipped), go to DOOR AJAR TEST 9C . If problem is with liftgate glass ajar switch circuit (if equipped), disconnect liftgate glass ajar switch connector. Connect jumper wire between liftgate ajar switch connector terminals No. 1 (Black wire) and No. 2 (Tan/Black wire). Go to next step.
- Using scan tool, read liftgate ajar switch status. If scan tool displays LIFTGATE AJAR SWITCH: CLOSED, replace liftgate glass ajar switch. If scan tool does not display LIFTGATE AJAR SWITCH: CLOSED, repair open in Black wire between liftgate glass ajar switch and ground.
