O/D Off Indicator Not Operating Properly

  1. Ensure ignition is off. Press and hold TRIP/RESET button on instrument panel. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. MIC self-test will start. If O/D OFF indicator light illuminates for about 4 seconds and then goes out, go to next step. If O/D OFF indicator light does not illuminate for about 4 seconds and then go out, go to step  3 .
  2. Using scan tool, read ENGINE DTCs. If any PCM DTCs are present, go to appropriate SELF-DIAGNOSTICS article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE. If no PCM DTCs are present, test is complete.
  3. Using scan tool, read ENGINE DTCs. If any PCM DTCs are present, go to appropriate SELF-DIAGNOSTICS article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE. If no PCM DTCs are present, go to next step.
  4. Remove and inspect HIGH BEAM bulb. Replace as needed. If bulb is okay, replace instrument printed circuit board.
