Power Seat Adjuster/Motor Test
- Operate power seat switch so that all 3 motors have been energized. If one or more motors operate, see POWER SEAT SWITCH TEST
. If no motors operate, go to next step.
- Check circuit breaker. See CIRCUIT BREAKER TEST
. Replace circuit breaker as necessary and recheck system operation. If circuit breaker is okay, remove power seat switch. See POWER SEAT SWITCH
under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
- Using a voltmeter, measure voltage between ground and Red/Light Blue wire (terminal "A" on driver's seat or terminal "B" on passenger's seat) at power seat switch harness connector. If battery voltage is present, go to next step. If battery voltage is not present, repair open in Red/Light Blue wire between circuit breaker and power seat switch.
- Using an ohmmeter, check for continuity between ground and Black wire (terminal "A" on driver's seat or terminal "B" on passenger's seat ) at power seat harness connector. If continuity exists, go to next step. If continuity does not exist, repair open in Black wire between power seat switch connector and ground.
- Test power seat switch. See POWER SEAT SWITCH TEST
. Replace switch as necessary and recheck system operation. If switch is okay, check wiring harness between power seat adjuster motor assembly and power seat switch harness connector. Repair as necessary. If wiring is okay, replace faulty power seat adjuster/motor assembly. Recheck system operation.
