  2. Obtain vehicle's unique PIN number assigned to it's original Sentry Key Immobilizer Module (SKIM) from vehicle owner or Chrysler's customer center.
  3. Use care when entering PIN. If secured access mode is attempted 3 times using incorrect PIN, secured access mode will be locked out for one hour and scan tool will display BUS +/- SIGNALS OPEN.
  4. To exit lock out, turn ignition switch on for one hour. Ensure all accessories are turned off. Monitor battery state and connect battery charger is necessary.
  5. Using scan tool, select THEFT ALARM, SKIM, then MISCELLANEOUS. Select desired procedure and follow on-screen instructions.
  6. If SKIM was replaced, program all customer keys into SKIM's memory. If problem is not corrected, replace SKIM. See SENTRY KEY IMMOBILIZER MODULE  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If different symptom occurs, go to appropriate diagnosis and repair procedure under SYSTEM TESTS .
  7. Erase all DTCs after repairs.
