DTC P0460: Fuel Level Unit No Change Over Miles Or DTC P0461: Fuel Level Unit No Change Over Time: Testing

  1. Turn ignition off. Remove fuel tank. See FUEL TANK under FUEL SYSTEMS in REMOVAL, OVERHAUL & INSTALLATION article. Remove fuel pump module from fuel tank. Visually inspect inside of fuel tank for obstructions or deformities. Repair or replace fuel tank as necessary. If fuel tank is okay, go to next step.
  2. At this time, fuel level sensor is assumed to be defective. Replace fuel level sensor. Fuel level sensor is located on fuel pump module and can be replaced separately. See FUEL LEVEL SENSOR under FUEL SYSTEMS in REMOVAL, OVERHAUL & INSTALLATION article.
