Transmission OUPUT Shaft Speed Sensor

The output shaft speed sensor is located in the overdrive housing. The seasoner is positioned over the park gear and monitors transmission output shaft rotating speed. Speed sensor signals are triggered by the park gear lugs as they rotate past the sensor pickup face. One revolution of the output shaft produces 23 pulses. Input signals from the sensor are sent to the PCM for processing.
