Door Modules
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Jeep Liberty. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
Door modules are used to reduce wiring complexity, and to facilitate faster and easier diagnosis. Driver's Door Module (DDM) and Passenger's Door Module (PDM) are part of power window/door lock switch assemblies located under each front door panel. Door modules control power door locks, driver's window express down, memory recall functions for memory seats and mirrors, Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) system and power mirrors.
