Flash Checksum Failure

Monitored & Set Condition

  1. When Monitored: Each time the DRBIII(R) performs the flash process, the BCM runs a flash checksum test.
  2. Set Condition: The DTC will set if the BCM detects a flash checksum failure.

Possible Causes:

Testing

  1. Connect the DRBIII(R) to the Data Link Connector. Turn the ignition on. With the DRBIII(R), erase BCM DTC's. Turn the ignition off then turn the ignition on. With the DRBIII(R), read BCM DTC's. Did the DTC reset? If yes, reflash or replace the Body Control Module. BODY CONTROL MODULE  . Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST  . If no, test complete.
