Diagnostic Test

  1. 1) MAXIMUM AMOUNT OF KEYS PROGRAMMED INTO SKREEM 
    NOTE: The below procedure has you clearing all the key information within the SKREEM. It is important to obtain all the customer's ignition key(s) so they may be reprogrammed into the module.

    Turn the ignition on.

    Using a scan tool, clear all the key information in the SKREEM.

    Program the all the customer key(s) into the SKREEM (up to eight only)

    Was the "Maximum Number of Keys Programmed" display again? 

    Yes 

    1. Replace and program the SKREEM in accordance with the Service Information.
      NOTE: If this vehicle is equipped with a Steering Column Lock Module, it must be replaced along with the SKREEM.
    2. Perform SKREEM/SKIM VERIFICATION TEST .

    No 

    1. Programming of the key(s) were successful. Test complete.
    2. Perform SKREEM/SKIM VERIFICATION TEST .
