Diagnostic Test

  1. 1) INTERMITTENT CONDITION 

    Turn the ignition on.

    With the Scan Tool, clear all TIPM DTC's.

    Turn the Washers on.

    With the Scan Tool, read the Wiper/Washers DTC's.

    Does the Scan Tool read: B2376-REAR WIPER SWITCH INPUT CIRCUIT? 

    Yes 

    1. Go To  2).

    No 

    1. The condition that caused the symptom is currently not present. Inspect the related wiring for a possible intermittent condition. Look for any chafed, pierced, pinched, or partially broken wires.
    2. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1 .
  2. 2) REAR WIPER MOTOR 

    Turn the ignition off.

    Disconnect the Rear Wiper Motor connector.

    Turn the ignition on.

    With the Scan Tool, read the DTC's.

    Does the Scan Tool read: B2376-REAR WIPER SWITCH INPUT CIRCUIT? 

    Yes  

    1. Go To  3).

    No  

    1. Replace the Rear Wiper Motor in accordance with the service information.
    2. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1 .
  3. 3) (W13) REAR WIPER MOTOR CONTROL CIRCUIT SHORTED

    Turn the ignition off.

    Disconnect the Rear Wiper Motor harness connector.

    Disconnect the TIPM C6 harness connector.

    Measure the resistance between the (W13) Rear Wiper Motor Control Circuit and ground in the TIPM.

    Is the resistance below 5.0 ohms? 

    Yes 

    1. Repair the (W13) Rear Wiper Motor Control Circuit for a shorted condition.
    2. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1 .

    No 

    1. Replace the Totally Integrated Power Module in accordance with the service information.
    2. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1 .
