Diagnostic Test

  1. TEST FOR INTERMITTENT CONDITION 
    1. With the scan tool, record and erase DTCs
    2. Operate the Passenger Door Lock Switch both positions several times.
    3. Cycle the ignition from on to off 3 times.
    4. Turn the ignition on.
    5. With the scan tool, read DTCs.

      Does the scan tool display B1808-PASSENGER DOOR LOCK/UNLOCK SWITCH CIRCUIT STUCK LOCK?

      Yes 

      • Go to step  2

      No 

  2. PASSENGER DOOR LOCK SWITCH SHORTED TO GROUND

    1. With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
    2. Disconnect the Passenger Window/Door Lock Switch connector.
    3. Turn the ignition on.
    4. With the scan tool, read DTCs.

      Does the scan tool display PASSENGER DOOR LOCK/UNLOCK SWITCH CIRCUIT STUCK LOCK?

      No 

      Yes 

      • Go to step  3
  3. (G160) (LHD) or ((G161) (RHD) DOOR LOCK SWITCH MUX CIRCUIT SHORT TO GROUND

    1. Turn the ignition off.
    2. Disconnect the Passenger Door Module C2 connector.
    3. Measure the resistance between ground and the (G160/LHD) or (G161/RHD) Door Lock Switch Mux circuit in the Passenger Door Module C2 connector.

      Is the resistance below 10000.0 ohms?

      Yes 

      No
