Diagnostic Test

  1. TEST FOR INTERMITTENT CONDITION 
    1. Turn the ignition on.
    2. Using the scan tool, record and erase DTCs.
    3. Move the seat switch front vertical position three times.
    4. Using the scan tool, read DTCs.

      Does the scan tool display B1D72-SEAT FRONT VERTICAL POSITION SENSOR CIRCUIT HIGH?

      Yes 

      • Go to step  2

      No 

  2. CHECK THE (G404) DRIVER SEAT FRONT VERTICAL POSITION SENSE VOLTAGE 
    1. Disconnect the Front Driver Vertical Seat Adjuster Motor.
      NOTE: Check connectors - Clean and repair as necessary.
    2. With the scan tool erase DTCs
    3. Move the seat switch in the both front vertical positions three times.
    4. Using the scan tool, read DTCs.

      Does the same DTC reset?

      Yes 

      No
