Diagnostic Test

  1. INTERMITTENT CONDITION 
    1. Turn the ignition on.
    2. With the scan tool, erase all FCM DTCs.
    3. Turn the HID Headlamps on.
    4. With the scan tool, read the DTCs.

      Does the scan tool display DTC B2805-HID HEADLAMP CONTROL CIRCUIT LOW?

      Yes 

      • Go to step  2

      No 

  2. CHECK THE HID HEADLAMPS RELAY 
    1. Turn the ignition off.
    2. Substitute the HID Headlamps Relay with a known good relay.
    3. Turn the ignition on.
    4. Turn the HID Headlamps on.

      Do the HID Headlamps operate correctly?

      Yes 

      No 

      • Go to step  3
  3. CHECK THE (L44) RIGHT LOW BEAM CONTROL CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO GROUND

    1. Turn the ignition off.
    2. Disconnect the FCM C2 harness connector.
    3. Remove the HID Headlamps Relay.
    4. Measure the resistance between ground and the (L44) Right Low Beam Control circuit at the HID Headlamps Relay.

      Is the resistance above 10K Ohms?

      Yes 

      No
