Diagnostic Test

  1. TEST FOR INTERMITTENT CONDITION 
    1. Turn the ignition on.
    2. With the scan tool, record and erase DTCs.
    3. Press the Memory Set Switch several time in all positions.
    4. Cycle the ignition from on to off 3 times.
    5. Turn the ignition on.
    6. With the scan tool, read DTCs.

      Does the scan tool display: B1D4C-MEMORY SWITCH INPUT CIRCUIT HIGH?

      Yes 

      • Go to step  2

      No 

  2. CHECK THE DRIVER WINDOW/DOOR LOCK SWITCH FOR A SHORT TO VOLTAGE

    1. With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
    2. Turn the ignition off.
    3. Disconnect the Driver Window/Door Lock Switch C2 connector.
    4. Cycle the ignition 3 times.
    5. Turn the ignition on.
    6. With the scan tool, read DTCs.

      Does the scan tool display: B1D4C-MEMORY SWITCH INPUT CIRCUIT HIGH?

      Yes 

      • Go to step  3

      No 

  3. CHECK THE (G160/G161) RIGHT/LEFT DOOR LOCK SWITCH MUX CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO VOLTAGE

    1. Turn the ignition off.
    2. Disconnect the Driver Door Module C2 connector.
    3. Turn the ignition on.
    4. Measure the voltage of the (G160/G161) Right/Left Door Lock Switch Mux circuit.

      Is the voltage above 0.2 volts?

      Yes 

      No 

      • Go to step  4
  4. CHECK THE (P439) MEMORY SELECT SWITCH MUX CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO VOLTAGE

    1. Turn the ignition off.
    2. Disconnect the Driver Door Module C3 connector.
    3. Turn the ignition on.
    4. Measure the voltage of the (P439) Memory Select Switch Mux circuit.

      Is the voltage above 0.2 volts?

      Yes 

      No
