Diagnostic Test

PCM PROGRAMMED WITH INCORRECT SOFTWARE
1. Ignition on, engine not running.
2. Refer to ELECTRONIC CONTROL MODULES - SERVICE INFORMATION and program the PCM in accordance with the Service Information.
3. Start the engine.
4. Allow the engine to reach normal operating temperature.
5. With a scan tool, select read the active DTCs.
  Does the scan tool display U0300-INTERNAL CONTROL MODULE SOFTWARE INCOMPATIBILITY?
  
  Yes
  - Replace and program the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to MODULE, Powertrain Control, Removal .
  - Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST and perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST.
  No
  - The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) has been successfully programmed. Test is complete.
  - Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST and perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST.
