- CHECK FOR ACTIVE B1BAA-OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION MODULE CONFIGURATION MISMATCH
- With the scan tool, read Occupant Restraints Controller (ORC) DTCs.
Does the scan tool display an active B1BAA-OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION MODULE CONFIGURATION MISMATCH DTC?
Yes
- Go To 2.
No
- Test complete, the condition or conditions that originally set this DTC are not present at this time.
- Perform the AIRBAG SYSTEM INTERMITTENT TEST. Refer to AIRBAG SYSTEM INTERMITTENT TEST .
- With the scan tool, read Occupant Restraints Controller (ORC) DTCs.
- CHECKING FOR CORRUPT CONFIGURATION MESSAGE
- With the scan tool, read Occupant Restraints Controller (ORC) DTCs.
Does the scan tool display an active U1414-IMPLAUSIBLE/MISSING ECU NETWORK CONFIGURATION DATA DTC?
Yes
- Refer to Diagnosis and Testing and perform the U1414-IMPLAUSIBLE/MISSING ECU NETWORK CONFIGURATION DATA diagnostic test.
No
- Go To 3.
- With the scan tool, read Occupant Restraints Controller (ORC) DTCs.
- CHECKING FOR LOSS OF CAN BUS CONFIGURATION MESSAGE
- With the scan tool, read Occupant Restraints Controller (ORC) DTCs.
Does the scan tool display an active U1415-IMPLAUSIBLE/MISSING VEHICLE CONFIGURATION DATA DTCs?
Yes
- Refer to Diagnosis and Testing and perform the U1415-IMPLAUSIBLE/MISSING VEHICLE CONFIGURATION DATA diagnostic test.
No
- Go To 4.
- With the scan tool, read Occupant Restraints Controller (ORC) DTCs.
- CHECKING FOR LOSS OF COMMUNICATION WITH THE TIPM
- With the scan tool, read Occupant Restraints Controller (ORC) DTCs.
Does the scan tool display an active U0141-LOST COMMUNICATION WITH FRONT CONTROL MODULE (TOTALLY INTEGRATED POWER MODULE) DTC?
Yes
- Refer to Diagnosis and Testing and perform the U0141-LOST COMMUNICATION WITH IPM (FCM/TIPM).
No
- Replace the ORC in accordance with the Service Information.
- Perform the AIRBAG SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to AIRBAG SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST .
WARNING:If the Occupant Restraint Controller (ORC) is dropped at any time, it must be replaced. Failure to follow these instructions may result in possible serious or fatal injury.
- With the scan tool, read Occupant Restraints Controller (ORC) DTCs.
