Module, Instrument Panel Cluster: Installation: Installation

WARNING:

Wait two minutes for the airbag system reserve capacitor to discharge before beginning any airbag system or component service. Failure to do so may result in accidental airbag deployment, personal injury or death. Refer to WARNING .

NOTE:

If the instrument panel cluster has been replaced, the replacement instrument panel cluster should be programmed with the correct mileage. Verify the correct mileage via WiTech/Scan Tool.

  1. Position the instrument panel cluster into instrument panel opening.
  2. Connect the instrument panel cluster wire harness connector.

  3. Tilt the instrument panel cluster forward, install and securely tighten the upper and lower fasteners (1 and 3).

  4. Position the steering column shroud gap hider (4), and press into place.
  5. Install the steering column opening cover. Refer to COVER, STEERING COLUMN OPENING, INSTALLATION .
  6. Install the two small instrument panel trim inserts (3).
  7. Position the upper hood (2) on the instrument panel (1), and press into place engaging the clips that secure the hood.
  8. Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector.
