Diagnostic Test
- VERIFY THAT THE DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) IS ACTIVE
- Turn the ignition on.NOTE:
Before continuing, review and check for the following:
- The battery voltage must be above 10 volts.
- Review the repair history of the vehicle.
- Ensure that the PCM and WCM are programmed correctly. Compare the PCM VIN to the WCM VIN and ensure the two VINs match.
- With the scan tool, clear DTCs.
- Perform 5 ignition cycles, leaving the ignition switch on for a minimum of 90 seconds per cycle.
- With the scan tool, read DTCs.
Is the DTC active?
Yes
- Replace and program the Wireless Control Module and Steering Column Lock Module in accordance with the Service Information.
- Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE and perform the WCM VERIFICATION TEST.
No
- The DTC is not active at this time. Test complete.
- Turn the ignition on.
