Module Programming: 2.0L

This procedure is required when one or more of the following situations are true:
- A Powertrain Control Module (PCM) has been replaced.
- An updated calibration or software release is available for either the PCM or Transmission Control Module (TCM).
This procedure assumes that the scan tool is properly configured to the dealership network with either a wired or wireless connection. For help on how to network the scan tool, use the "Help" tab at the top of the diagnostic application.
Programming Procedure:
If a 2.0L controller was replaced, navigate to "Misc. Functions" and perform all applicable routines as follows -
- ECU Replacement With Value Transfer - if the ECU to be replaced is still responsive. If the ECU is NOT responsive, perform ECU Replacement WITHOUT Value Transfer.NOTE:
If the PCM/ECM data transfer is able to be completed, it may not be necessary to perform some of the routines.
- Verify PCM/ECM VIN. This will be programmed if data transfer is successful. Confirm it has programmed.
- Injector Quantity Adjustment (For 2012 and older applications only). This will be programmed if data transfer is successful. Confirm it has programmed.
- Program Variant Code
- Reset Zero Fuel
- Reset of Lambda Values
