Sensor, Coolant Temperature: Removal: 2.4L

CAUTION:

Do not loosen radiator draincock with system hot and pressurized. Serious burns from coolant can occur.

  1. Remove the engine cover.
  2. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
  3. Raise and support the vehicle.
  4. Remove the belly pan.
  5. Drain the cooling system.
  6. Lower vehicle.
  7. Remove the battery

    Refer to BATTERY, REMOVAL .

  8. Remove the PCM

    Refer to MODULE, POWERTRAIN CONTROL, REMOVAL .

  9. Remove the PCM mount bolts (2 & 4).
  10. Remove the PCM mount (3) from the battery tray (1).

  11. Disconnect the engine coolant temperature sensor harness connector.
  12. Remove the engine coolant temperature sensor (2).
