Sensor, Knock: Installation: 2.4L

Thoroughly clean the knock sensor mounting hole.
CAUTION:
Over or under tightening the knock sensor mounting bolt will affect knock sensor performance, possibly causing improper spark control. Always use the specified torque when installing the knock sensor. Do not apply any adhesive, sealant or thread locking compound to the bolt.
Install the knock sensor with mounting bolt (1). Tighten the mounting bolt to the proper specification. Refer to SPECIFICATIONS .
Connect the electrical connector.
Install the Intake manifold. Refer to MANIFOLD, INTAKE, INSTALLATION .
Lower the vehicle.
Connect the negative battery cable and tighten nut to the proper specification. Refer to SPECIFICATIONS .
