Set Condition

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2013 Jeep Patriot and 2013 Jeep Compass. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The DTC is detected If the Torque Convertor Clutch (TCC) slip monitored by the Transmission Control Module (TCM) is greater than a predetermined value for the period of 30 seconds. Note: This is not an electrical fault but a mechanical malfunction such as a control valve sticking in its bore or a TCC Solenoid hydraulic malfunction. It takes two consecutive problem identification trips for the DTC to mature and illuminate the MIL.
