Diagnosis And Testing - Diagnostic And Testing

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2012 Jeep Patriot and 2012 Jeep Compass. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

If the boost pressure sensor fails, the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) records a Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) into memory and continues to operate the engine in one of the three limp-in modes. When the PCM is operating in this mode, a loss of power will be present, as if the turbocharger was not operating. The best method for diagnosing faults with the boost pressure sensor is with a scan tool. Refer to the appropriate Diagnostic information.

Refer to ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTICS for a list of (DTC's) for certain fuel system components.
