Charging System (Service Information): Generator: Removal: Removal

- Rotate the two retaining clips (3) and remove the air cleaner fresh air duct (2).
- Disconnect and isolate negative battery cable at battery.

- Evacuate the A/C system. Refer to PLUMBING, STANDARD PROCEDURE
.
- Remove the right front wheel.
- Remove the underbody air dam.

- Remove the accessory drive splash shield.

- Position aside the serpentine belt. Refer to BELT, SERPENTINE, REMOVAL

- Remove the accessory drive idler pulley.

- Remove the A/C compressor. Refer to COMPRESSOR, A/C, REMOVAL

- Loosen the lower mounting bolt.

- Unplug field circuit from generator.

- Remove the B+ terminal nut and wire.

- Remove the upper mounting bolt.
- Remove the generator lower mounting bolt.

- Slide the generator (1) down and out of vehicle.
