Sensor, Camshaft Position: Removal: Diesel

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the engine cover.
  3. Remove the crankcase breather hose. Refer to TUBE, CRANKCASE BREATHER, REMOVAL .

  4. Disconnect Camshaft Position Sensor (CMP) wire harness connector (1).

  5. Remove bolt (2) and the CMP sensor (1).
