SWITCH, Hood Ajar: Installation: Installation

- Position the hood ajar switch (2) to the mounting hole in the adapter (1).
- Press the switch down through the adapter mounting hole until the integral switch latch tabs lock it into place.
- Pull the wire harness connector (4) up through the mounting tab of the front end module carrier mounting tab (3) and reconnect it to the switch connector receptacle.
- Insert the switch and adapter into the mounting tab and press them downward until the adapter snaps into place.
- Reconnect the battery negative cable.
- Close and latch the hood.
