3.0L Diesel

CAUTION:

Before installing the radiator or A/C condenser, be sure the radiator-to-body and radiator-to-A/C condenser rubber air seals are properly fastened to their original positions. These are used at the top, bottom and sides of the radiator and A/C condenser. To prevent overheating, these seals must be installed to their original positions.

  1. Carefully install the radiator (1) into the vehicle. Guide the two radiator rubber air seals into the lower radiator support.

  2. Install the cooling fan assembly and engage both lock tabs (1).

  3. Connect the cooling fan wire harness connector (1).
  4. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .

  5. Install the lower cooling fan closeout panel (1).

  6. Install the lower radiator hose (1).
  7. Remove support and lower the vehicle.

  8. Install the upper radiator hose (1).

  9. Carefully install the A/C condenser into the radiator mounts and engage the two retaining tabs (1 and 2).

  10. Connect both of the transmission cooler lines (1).
  11. Install the Charge Air Cooler (CAC). Refer to COOLER AND HOSES, CHARGE AIR, INSTALLATION .
  12. Fill the cooling system. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  13. Install the front skid plate. Refer to PLATE, SKID, FRONT, INSTALLATION .
  14. Connect the negative battery cable.
  15. Start the engine and check for leaks.
